Sunset Family Photos at Vasona Lake Park | Bay Area Newborn & Family Photographer
There’s something magical about golden hour at Vasona—the light drapes across the water and everything feels calm, warm, and a little bit glowing. Last night’s session was so beautiful with the light and warm breezes of early fall.
This sweet family came together to celebrate their four-month-old baby girl with a relaxed evening surrounded by nature. We began by a wooden fence and open meadow where the light shimmered through the trees, and wrapped up by the water as the sun dipped behind the Los Gatos hills. Baby was curious, and her parents radiated that new-parent joy that makes these moments so special. Baby's grandparents joined, lending a helpful hand with the family pup and happily jumping in for a few portraits. I love sessions with three generations—there’s an easy tenderness that shows up in the gentle poses by the water. One of my favorite parts of my photography business is getting to photograph the same families as their babies grow—from wobbly sitters to first steps and beyond. Returning to familiar faces (and favorite places like Vasona) lets our rhythm build over time, and the images become a little time-capsule of each season. The result: a gallery filled with glowing light, authentic connection, and a mix of tender and playful moments. This session is a reminder of what I love most about lifestyle photography—capturing families as they are, right in the middle of their beautiful, everyday story.
More from this Vasona family session coming soon—I can’t wait to share the full gallery...
