Newborn Photography in San Jose & the Surrounding Bay Area: Now Booking June and Beyond
Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of life’s most beautiful and emotional experiences — and those early days pass by faster than anyone expects. As a Bay Area lifestyle newborn photographer, I specialize in cozy, in-home sessions in San Jose and the surrounding Bay Area of Los Gatos, Campbell, Mountain View, Los Altos, and Palo Alto. These photo sessions celebrate your baby and your growing family in a natural and heartfelt way.
If you’re currently expecting, now is the perfect time to start planning your newborn session. My May calendar is fully booked, and availability begins again in mid-June, so reserving your spot while you’re still pregnant is the best way to ensure we capture those precious newborn days — ideally within the first 6 weeks after baby arrives. Some parents prefer to do the session when the baby is tiny, in the first week or two. My personal favorite is doing the session 3-6 weeks after your baby is born, when life is slightly more settled and parents are not as exhausted. If your baby is older than 6 weeks, that is also fine, as older babies can give great expressions and are adorable.

- A relaxed, in-home session – no need to pack up baby and leave the house; all I need is one good window for beautiful natural light
- A variety of images – including baby alone, baby with parents, siblings (if any), and even grandparents if they’re present
- Access to a professional print lab – easily order canvas, metal, or classic prints directly from your gallery, shipped right to your home
My approach is simple: no props or posing babies in unnatural ways — just your family, your home, and your real connection. These images tell your story exactly as it is in those first few magical weeks.
Why Book Before Baby Arrives?
I often hear from parents after their baby is born, which is okay, but it can be tough to squeeze in a session before the newborn stage begins to fade. Babies change so fast that by booking in advance it ensures we can photograph that short window when baby is still tiny and new. When you book ahead of time, I’ll pencil in your due date, and we’ll finalize a session date once baby arrives. I'm flexible and understanding of due dates and unexpected circumstances that can arise, so you don’t need to worry about exact timing — I build that flexibility into my schedule just for this reason.
