The Importance of Preserving Memories


As a parent, I treasure the photos I have of myself with my parents as a newborn and small child. Those images help me remember who they were and what our life looked like back then. Now, as my own child works on school projects about his early years, I wish I had more photos of him as a baby and young toddler. That's why I strive to give my clients a wide variety of photos that capture the moments that matter. For each newborn session, I guarantee a minimum of 75 beautifully edited high resolution photos in your personal gallery — and often, we get even more! Each session is about 90-minutes, which gives us ample time to capture a variety of poses, typically including the baby both sleeping and awake (and I will stay up to 2-hours if needed to ensure we get all the poses you want). This length of session time also gives ample time for breaks, including feeding and diaper changes, to keep baby comfortable and happy throughout the session. Many of my families tell me how enjoyable and stress-free the session was for both them and their baby, which is always my goal (along with capturing gorgeous images), because the photographs and experience are both equally important.


As your baby grows into a teenager and beyond, these photos will become even more precious. In the Baby's First Year package, in addition to receiving all the edited high-resolution digital images in an online gallery, I also offer a complementary custom-designed photo album as a beautiful and timeless way to preserve your family’s memories of your baby's first year, allowing you to look back on those early days whenever you like. Having a physical album means you can revisit the images any time, and it’s something your child will treasure as they grow older. I design this album from start to finish, as new parents have enough to do caring for their newborn baby. Within a day or so of the session, you will receive a sneak peek blog post of 5-10 of my favorite images from your session (if you granted permission for me to do so on your survey). Within 2-3 weeks after your session, you will receive your gallery of all the edited high-resolution digital images. Shortly after your three sessions, your beautiful complementary photo album will follow, which will include all of your favorite images from the three sessions.
