A Fun-Filled Family Photography Session in Los Gatos

Family Photography Session with a Sweet Toddler

One of my favorite things about being a family photographer is watching little ones grow! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this adorable little boy since he was a newborn, and it was such a joy to see him again for another family photography session at beautiful Vasona Lake Park in Los Gatos. Now a year and a half old, he is full of personality, energy, and curiosity — and he’s officially a runner!


We had so much fun exploring the park together! This sweet little guy loved running around, playing airplane with Dad, watching the ducks and geese, and discovering all the fun things Vasona has to offer. We captured some adorable moments sitting in a tree, exploring the train tracks, and enjoying the beautiful scenery around the lake. We also stopped for family portraits on the bridge and by the water, taking advantage of some of my favorite photography spots in Los Gatos.


Of course, we couldn’t forget another very important member of the family — their adorable pug! He was such a good sport and happily joined in for several family portraits. I always love including family pets in photography sessions because they’re such a special part of the family!


What made this session especially wonderful was seeing the beautiful connection between these parents and their little boy. They’re such a warm, loving family, and their natural interactions made for some of my favorite images. We captured a lovely mix of traditional family portraits with everyone looking at the camera, along with plenty of playful, candid moments as their busy toddler ran, explored, and had fun. That’s one of the things I love most about photographing toddlers. Rather than expecting them to sit still and smile throughout the session, I love giving them the freedom to play and be themselves. Those spontaneous smiles, sweet interactions, and little in-between moments often become the most treasured photographs. It was such a pleasure spending time with this wonderful family again and documenting another special stage in their little boy’s life. I can’t wait to share more images from their fun-filled Los Gatos family photography session!
