There’s nothing quite like photographing a new baby surrounded by the warmth of home—and this recent in-home newborn session in the Bay Area was full of heartfelt moments and loving energy. This sweet Bay Area family recently welcomed the newest little member to their crew—a beautiful baby boy! During our time together, we moved through the home, capturing cozy snuggles and candid moments in the primary bedroom and both living spaces. One of the best parts? Their family pup made a few adorable appearances—and three proud grandparents joined in for a few meaningful portraits as well. I always love when grandparents are able to be part of the session—it’s a special generation-spanning touch that adds even more depth to the story.

As a San Jose-based lifestyle newborn photographer, my in-home sessions are relaxed, baby-led, and filled with natural connection. There’s no need for elaborate props or pressure to pose “just right.” Instead, I gently guide families to help them feel at ease while capturing real-life beauty—yawns, stretches, feedings, soft cuddles, and the quiet joy that comes with welcoming a newborn.
