In-home newborn sessions are intentionally calm and flexible. Your baby sets the pace. If your newborn needs to feed or settle, we simply pause. If siblings need a moment to warm up, we give them that space. The session unfolds gently and naturally so everyone feels comfortable. Some babies sleep deeply through the entire session, especially if you choose a session when your baby is only a week or two old. Other babies will stay awake and quietly observe the world around them. Both moments are beautiful, and we usually capture images of your baby both sleeping and awake, which makes for a wonderfully full and diverse gallery.

I often joke that the baby is the boss during newborn sessions — but it’s actually true. If your baby needs to eat, I continue photographing while you feed them. If it’s time for a diaper change, we take a quick break, and it can even be a perfect opportunity for an outfit change if you’d like photos with different outfits. Whatever your baby needs comes first. The goal is a relaxed experience that allows genuine moments to unfold naturally.

What Happens During an In-Home Newborn Session

A typical newborn session includes:

• Upon booking, you'll receive a link to my Client Lounge, which is a guide to help you feel prepared for your session

• I'll also follow-up with you by email prior to your session with additional tips and to confirm your session date and time

• When I arrive at your home, I'll ask you to give me a quick tour so we can assess the best light, usually your bedroom, the living room, and nursery (if you have one)

• You can expect a relaxed photography session in your Los Gatos, Saratoga, or Campbell home

• Your photos will utilize natural light imagery, which looks the best and most natural

• Parents, siblings, visiting grandparents, and pets included (no extra charge)

• A relaxed baby-led session pace

• A full online gallery of hand-edited high-resolution digital images (90+)

• Option to download your photos and print wherever you'd like or you will have a professional print lab connected directly to your gallery

We usually photograph in just a few areas of your home with the best window light, often the primary bedroom, nursery, or living room.

There is no need to prepare your entire home. I’m looking for light and connection, not perfectly styled spaces.
